READY TO TRY QUESTIONING???

  • FOR A BETTER UNDERSTANDING, NEXT YOU WILL SEE A CHART SHOWING THE STRUCTURE TO FOLLOW WHEN QUESTIONING IN SIMPLE PRESENT... ONLY FOR " I, YOU, WE, THEY" SUBJECTS.

  • THAT'S WHY WHEN WE ASK, WE DECIDE...
  1. THE PERSON
  2. WE ASSIGN THE AUXILIARY
  3. WE SAY/WRITE THE VERB IN SIMPLE FORM...NO PREPOSITION "TO" AND NO "ING" ENDING.
  4. WE USE A SUITABLE COMPLEMENT TO MAKE MORE COMPLETE AND LOGICAL QUESTIONS.
  5. WE ANSWER USING THE SAME AUXILIARY, FOR EXAMPLE
DO YOU EAT MEAT TWICE A WEEK?      YES, I DO                     NO, I DON'T
nótese que el auxiliar en la pregunta fue DO ya que el sujeto usado es YOU mas el verbo sin preposición que le anteceda ni terminación adicional que lo convierta en gerundio, las respuestas llevaran nuevamente el auxiliar con el que se pregunto en el rubro correspondiente-DO para afirmar y DON'T para negar.

NOTICE THE USE OF THE AUXILIARY "DOES" EXCLUSIVELY FOR "HE, SHE, IT" AND THE VERB CONTINUES IN SIMPLE FORM.
REMEMBER THAT THE ANSWER USES THE SAME AUXILIARY THAT YOU USED IN THE QUESTION.
FOR EXAMPLE:

DOES JONATHAN LIVE FAR AWAY?     YES, HE DOES               NO, HE DOESN´T

REMEMBER THAT THE SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE IS FOR ACTIONS NOT FOR DESCRIPTIONS!!!
